Parking for Public Performances
Free parking for Kingsbury Hall events is usually located at Rice Eccles stadium. For some events, when the stadium lot is busy, parking is at the Merrill Engineering lot. See map links below for locations. Click on the event you are attending on the calendar (under the “Upcoming Performances” tab above) to see event-specific parking information.
Meters are available along Presidents Circle. Most are free after 6:00 PM on nights with public performances at Kingsbury Hall, but fill up fast and should probably not be counted on if you arrive close to showtime.
The Wolcott Street (1455 E) lot, where premium paid parking was available, is closed for construction. The pay lot by the Student Services building (enter at Wolcott off 100 South and keep left) is available for $2 per hour.
Most E, U, and A lots are free on weekends and after 8:00 PM on weekdays, but look for signage at each lot to be sure.
Disabled parking is available directly east of Kingsbury Hall. Enter from Presidents Circle.
Visit commuter services to view an interactive campus map.
Kingsbury Hall is approximately 3 blocks north of Rice Eccles Stadium. The walk takes about 10 minutes and takes you past some beautiful areas on the University of Utah campus.
For many events, Kingsbury Hall provides a shuttle service. The shuttle goes directly to Kingsbury Hall from the Rice Eccles Stadium lot (or the Merrill Engineering lot) and back. Shuttle info is listed if you click the event you are attending on the calendar listings.
Shuttles begin operating one hour prior to performance times and immediately following the performance. The shuttle does not operate on a specific schedule and departs from Kingsbury Hall or the stadium when it is more than half full.
Parking for Student Matinees
For school matinee performances, buses can park for free at the Merrill Engineering lot. Personal vehicles should park at either the Student Services or Bookstore pay lots (see map). Personal vehicles can also park at meters, but availability is very limited during the day. For additional information on student matinees, please click here.
